Since I was in the hospital when I did my first post about Crew I didn't get a chance to tell my story about everything that happened last week with the birth of Crew. So it was about 5:00am thursday morning the 12th, I woke up to go to the bathroom, nothing new, that had been the story of my life the past 8 months. So I go and it felt like some water came out too, but i wasn't sure so I went back to bed. Then Layne came in at 6:00am and said mom can I sleep with you? And I said my tummy kind of hurts, so I got up to go to the bathroom and I could tell there was more water, so anyway, I ended up calling my doctor and she said to meet her at the hospital and she would check me out. So we called grandma and grandpa McNair packed Layne a bag, which by the way he hardly ever comes in our room and asks to sleep with us it was like he already knew what was happening! So we packed our bags, got the cameras and headed off to the hospital. That whole night before I just didn't sleep well I felt like I was up all night, I kind of thought that I might go into labor, but really didn't know. I should have listened to my motherly instincts :). So we get to the hospital get all checked in and on my way to the room to give a urin sample my water broke, or at least tore a lot! And I lost my mucas plug, so at that point I knew that I would probably have this baby by the end of the day. So I ended up getting in my delivery room and I got my epidural around 10:00 am or so, and the guy had to do it twice!! The first time it killed and took forever! The nurse was wiping my head with a cold wash cloth. So he got done and he said I am sorry but I just don't feel good about that one, so he pulled it out and did it again, and the second time around it didn't hurt at all! So I am glad he did it again, because the first one might not have worked. So as everyone knows, I decided to do a vbac because last time I had to do a c-section, so because of that I had just one nurse with me the whole time and she was amazing! Her name was sherri and she was awesome! She checked me after the epidural and I was only at a 2. so she gave me a little patossin but I hardly got any patossin the whole time because I guess it just isn't great with a vbac, so about every hour I was dialating 1 more centimeter. So by about 1:30 pm I was at a 4 and then an hour later I was at a 6 and 1/2! That was good news for me because with Layne I only dialated to a 5 and then they had to take me c-section because Layne was getting stressed, so they called it failure to progress. So by 4:30, 5:00 pm I was at a 10! Yay! I was so excited thinking I can do this! I pushed a few times with my nurse and then my doctor Julia Johansson finally got there and I pushed like 3 times and he came right out! I had a mirror too and it was awesome! I would reccomend that to anyone! So he was born at 5:41 pm. And that is my story. It was an amazing day, I couldn't believe I did it! Casey was with me the whole way and he was awesome, I totally felt my family's prayers and I knew the Lord was helping me every step of the way. I am so thankful to have this sweet little boy in our home he has been the best baby! My parents came and stayed with us for a couple of days and I am so grateful for them they helped me get my house organized and put together since I once again wasn't ready for him to come so early. So thank you Mom and Dad! We love and miss you! And thank you to Casey's Mom and Dad for taking Layne for us for 2 nights while we were in the hospital so Casey could stay the night with me. So I am very grateful that everything went so well even though he was so early and we are so grateful for our 2 sweet little boys! Layne has been having a hard time, but he has been such a big help and we are so thankful for these sweet little spirits that the Lord has blessed us with!
